Something so simple...

Crazy how something so simple can tug on my heart.  I've been spring cleaning the last couple weeks and it has been so good for my OCD. I have done baseboards, blinds, dusted, moved and cleaned under furniture, organized and gone through everything! I was working on our guest bedroom today and had an emotional time....It started with going through my cedar chest....so crazy to think of all the wonderful things I have been a part of in the 27 years of my life.....notes and cards from family/friends, pictures, books, high school stuff, wedding veil, jewelry, trophys, things from all the plays I've done, etc.....I am so blessed. Then I started reading family projects my mom has together over the years....history about my grandparents, parents, and family....THANK YOU MOM! So many amazing things you have spend countless hours on....After sitting looking through things and explaining what things were to Decker I composed myself to continue cleaning.....
THEN I came across this....

Something so so simple....my mom's clips for her curlers....I began to SOB! What a dork you may think? Well I think not! My sweet mom has used curlers for I don't know how long...I have watched her over and over and over again...in fact her scarf she wears over top is a STAPLE to all the grandkids. My sweet mom must have left them here when they got to come visit for a couple nights.  I am so grateful that my parents are serving the Lord...I am so grateful that they got the opportunity to come stay with us a few days when my Grandpa Bell passed away...those are memories I will never forget and sometimes in the hustle and bustle of LIFE we need something so simple to SLOW US DOWN to remember WHAT TRULY MATTERS. I love my parents. I love my family and I AM BLESSED to have them in my life.
